107 people, including 67 Ukrainian lawyers now living in Ireland, attended an information and networking event at the Law Society on 31 July. Information was given on practising law in this country. Another 31 Ukrainian lawyers in Ireland couldn’t attend but will receive the materials.
See the Law Society Gazette report on the event here.
A recording and materials will be available soon. If you would like further details, please get in touch.
Members of UILA are helping the Irish Red Cross distribute food and clothing assistance to people arriving in Ireland from Ukraine. €40,000 of vouchers were distributed yesterday, 3 August. See Irish Independent and RTE reports.
UILA volunteers are also working on site in Maynooth at a Red Cross clinic, providing information on services in Ireland to displaced Ukrainians.
If you would like to volunteer for either of these initiatives, please get in touch here or email pryvit@uila.ie. Ukrainian language speakers especially welcome.
